It is our great pleasure on behalf of the Local Organizing Committee to invite you to attend the 9th Asian Pacific Society of Periodontology (APSP) Meeting which will take place from 9 to 10 September 2011 in the vibrant, cosmopolitan city of Hong Kong.

The development of Periodontolgy specialty in the Asia Pacific region, in particular in China is unprecedented in the past decade. The increasing influence of periodontal diseases on the population level and its association with systemic health and well-being emphasizes the importance of promoting periodontal awareness in general dental practice and, cross-disciplinary clinical and research collaborations. The theme for this year’s APSP meeting - “Multi-disciplinary management of periodontal diseases” is tailored for this purpose.

The 9th APSP meeting provides an unique opportunity for scholars, researchers and clinicians in General Dentistry and Periodontology from the Asia Pacific region and other parts of the World to network, exchange views and share their evidence, practices, and experiences in Periodontal treatments and modalities.

Hong Kong is a metropolis full of energy and fascination. The combination of a magnificent skyline, diverse cuisine, unique history, a rich culture, and contemporary technology will make for a memorable experience. We look forward to seeing you in Hong Kong in September 2011.
